I see you have a lot of water in your gallery - have you ever played with a neutral density filter? It allows you to reduce your shutter speed without overexposure. (like this [link] ) You'll love it, and the filters aren't all that expensive. Before I had a tripod, I used rocks, but I just found a really cheap backpacking tripod that holds my Nikon D90 just fine. Happy to provide advice to another water lover! I'm learning myself. :D
